A friend of mine came to me with a problem, that has existed for years now, yes he was upset and upset because, someone he loved, had hurt him, now thats not something new, you're only hurt by someone you love, for when you don't love someone, what he/she does, doesn't really matter, so coming back to this friend and his problem that he was hurt, very honestly what I felt the real problem was not him being hurt, but it was something that I call the contrarian problem of Bitter Love. And so my mind wanders in thinking that;
The bitter anguish that sometimes touches the heart is perhaps a result of possessive love not meeting what its seeks.
Yes love is possessive and if not, its not love.
But then again possession can at times turn obsession;
we all know that obsessive can be a disorder.
So does that mean love can be a disorder???
I guess not, for love brings order in chaos, it turns a frown upside down into a smile and its even the key ingredient to make movies run;
but most of all, it only gives, then how can love be possessive?
Authors, poets, thinkers, dreamers, film-makers and patisserie bakers have for long made love an inspiration to their work, the result of which is always a delight to read, see and taste.
So how then can love ever be responsible for the bitter anguish that sometimes touches the heart.
Then again love is naive, tender and gentle, and will respond only in a manner it knows and is;
Maybe when love is not on the other side;
its the hurt the brings about the high tide...
So next time you feel bitter,
don't fret or jitter,
cos what you wanted to share was love,
So next time you feel bitter,
don't fret or jitter,
cos what you wanted to share was love,
but to the shared your love seemed curt,
And that perhaps, was the reason you were hurt.
And that perhaps, was the reason you were hurt.
And No I did not give this explanation to my friend,
cos deep down I knew, it was not yet, the end.
